The Miami Dolphins are traveling up the East Coast this weekend for an AFC East showdown with the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
On Saturday, the Dolphins made their final roster moves for Week 7, as they activated linebacker Kyle Louis from injured reserve and elevated kicker Zane Gonzalez and defensive end Max Llewellyn from the practice squad.
Louis, 22, played at Pittsburgh from 2022-25, earning All-ACC honors twice and All-American honor once. Miami took him in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL draft. In Week 1, Louis played 17 total snaps (three on defense and 14 on special teams), but he suffered a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve.
Gonzalez, 31, is in his eighth season in the NFL, and he's made 81% of his field goals and 95.3% of his extra points in his career, while playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons and Washington Commanders. He takes Riley Patterson's place on the gameday roster.
Llewellyn, 23, spent four year at Iowa. In 43 games for the Hawkeyes, he recorded 64 tackles (20.5 for a loss), 14.5 sacks, 10 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Miami took him in the seventh round of this year's draft, but he failed to make the roster out of camp. This is his second elevation of the year.
