Newtown Blues and St Mochtas meet in the Louth Senior Football Championship final on Sunday, 18 October 2026, at the Integral GAA Grounds in Drogheda, with the Joe Ward Cup at stake

Newtown Blues and St Mochtas face off this Sunday in the Louth Senior Football Championship final, with the prestigious Joe Ward Cup up for grabs at the Integral GAA Grounds in Drogheda.

The Blues are gunning to end a seven-year drought and claim a 24th county title.

Newtown Blues scraped through against Ardee St Mary's by the narrowest of margins in the semi-final, triumphing 1-15 to 2-11.

St Mochtas, by contrast, delivered a commanding performance to dismantle St Joseph's 1-21 to 0-8 and secure their spot in the showpiece decider.
