Ravens stock up, stock down after embarrassing 36-10 loss to Bills

The Baltimore Ravens fell to .500 after Sunday's 36-10 loss to Buffalo, with injuries and poor execution driving the team's third straight defeat. The result created more questions about Baltimore's roster, but several individual performances deserve recognition.

Stock up: Roquan Smith

Smith finished with 11 tackles, two passes defended and a forced fumble, remaining active throughout an afternoon in which the Ravens defense spent more than 37 minutes on the field.

His performance illustrated the difference one established leader can make, even when the collective result falls short.

Stock up: T.J. Tampa Jr.

Tampa returned from injured reserve and immediately delivered a turnover recovery after Smith stripped D.J. Moore.

Baltimore needs additional dependable contributors in its secondary, especially after Nate Wiggins was evaluated following a stinger. Tampa's availability and production are encouraging developments.

Stock up: Joe Fagnano's opportunity

Fagnano's statistics were modest, completing 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and an interception, but his first NFL appearance came under extremely difficult circumstances.

The rookie demonstrated toughness despite repeated pressure. He now may have an opportunity to compete for an expanded role, depending on the health of Jackson and Huntley.

Stock down: Offensive line

The Ravens allowed four sacks and 12 quarterback hits, with their protection problems extending beyond the absence of rookie right guard Vega Ioane.

Baltimore needs better performance from its veteran tackles, particularly with a quick turnaround before Thursday's game.

Stock down: Tyler Loop

The rookie kicker missed a manageable 34-yard attempt and sent the opening kickoff out of bounds.

Loop needs to improve his consistency, and the Ravens must evaluate whether their kicking game provides the reliability they need.

Stock down: Ravens secondary

Buffalo generated 289 passing yards, with D.J. Moore and Dalton Kincaid combining for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Marlon Humphrey struggled in coverage against Moore, while Baltimore continued allowing explosive gains despite creating two turnovers.

The Ravens' young contributors have opportunities to grow, but a third consecutive loss has increased pressure on several established veterans to perform better.
