Fritz recovers from a set down against Bonzi to stay in the race for Turin
Taylor Fritz, Rolex Paris Masters 2026

Eleventh seed Taylor Fritz of the United States came from a set down to beat French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in 1 hour 42 minutes in the first round of the Rolex Paris Masters on Tuesday. He will face Slovak qualifier Alex Molcan in the second round.

The win keeps Fritz in the race for the Nitto ATP Finals. Twelfth in the Race to Turin with 2,860 points before the match, he needs at least the semi-finals to stay in contention, or the final if Rafael Jodar beats Casper Ruud on Tuesday night. Only the title would make sure of his place.

Bonzi, ranked No. 95, was the only French qualifier in the main draw.
