On Saturday morning, the New Orleans Saints announced two practice squad elevations in advance of their Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris. The Saints are elevating wide receiver Cedric Tillman and offensive lineman Easton Kilty to the active roster against the Steelers. Both moves are standard weekly elevations, meaning each player will revert to the practice squad once the game is over.
Tillman, 26, played collegiately with the Tennessee Volunteers. Between 2018 and 2022, Tillman had 109 receptions for 1,622 yards and 17 scores, including 64 catches and 1,081 yards during the 2021 campaign. Tillman was a third round choice of the Cleveland Browns in the 2023 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Browns and caught 71 balls for 833 yards with 5 touchdowns.
Son of former Denver Broncos wideout Cedric Tillman, Tillman was signed by New Orleans this offseason. He'd spent the season on the Saints practice squad before being elevated two weeks ago against Minnesota, playing just one offensive snap, and again last week against the New York Giants. Against the Giants, Tillman saw four offensive snaps and one on special teams. This is Tillman's third elevation, meaning the Saints are forced to decide whether to promote him to the active roster or release him outright after this week.
Kilty, 24, played collegiately at North Dakota State and Kansas State. He made the New Orleans practice squad as an undrafted rookie in 2025 but did not see any game action. Kilty was again kept on the Saints practice squad after 2026 training camp. He was elevated to the active roster for the Saints Week 5 game against the Vikings, getting two snaps on special teams but none on offense.
