Arsenal predicted XI vs Nottingham Forest as Eberechi Eze benched in five changes

Here is our predicted Arsenal XI for the Premier League trip to Nottingham Forest

Mikel Arteta

Arsenal are looking to make it three wins in a row at Nottingham Forest this weekend

Mikel Arteta has a rough record as a manager at Nottingham Forest, having only won one of his five trips to the City Gound.

That said, Forest are struggling for confidence under new boss Oliver Glasner and they could be without captain Morgan Gibbs-White for today's contest due to a knock.

Striker Igor Jesus will be missing while Arsenal could have Martin Zubimendi back in their ranks to bolster their numbers. David Raya is expected to start between the sticks after keeping a clean sheet against Lille on Tuesday evening.

At right-back, Ben White should return as it's highly likely that Arsenal will continue to manage Jurrien Timber's workload sensibly following his big six-month lay-off.

At centre-back, Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhaes are poised to continue alongside one another at the heart of Arsenal backline while Riccardo Calafiori should return at left-back.

In midfield, Declan Rice and Bruno Guimaraes look ready to go again after gelling admirably against Leeds and Lille.

Rice, of course, teed up the Brazilian with an excellent spinning flick for the winner against the Whites before the pair dominated on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Prior to the international break, Rice and Guimaraes endured a rare off day at Brighton and it posed some awkward questions as to whether they were actually capable of playing alongside each other.

But now they look like Arsenal's first-choice central midfield duo, however well Myles Lewis-Skelly has done since forcing his way back into the side.

Ahead of them, Martin Odegaard keeps his spot as the No.10. The Norwegian is well-rested after starting the 3-0 triumph over Lille on the bench. Arsenal need a big performance from their captain.

Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka is certain to come in on the right after scoring and assisting from the bench against Lille while Noni Madueke should start on the left.

Eberechi Eze

Eberechi Eze is pushing to start but could lose his battle to Noni Madueke

It's the one position where there is genuine debate as to who will start ahead of this game. Madueke impressed against Leeds and done well against Lille but Eze scored and made a real impression as he pushes to start his first Premier League match of the season.

In attack, Kai Havertz returns instead of Viktor Gyokeres, who was ineffective against Lille - a match where he only had 13 touches of the ball.

Subs could play a key part in the matchup and the strength of Arsenal's bench could give them a key edge against Forest, who are stretched in certain areas of the pitch.

Predicted Arsenal XI vs Nottingham Forest: Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Guimaraes; Saka, Odegaard, Madueke; Havertz.
