Leeds United, Sunderland, Newcastle calls in Opta supercomputer's new predicted final Premier League table

Opta’s new predicted final Premier League table after Leeds United’s goalless draw at bottom-placed Sunderland.

Leeds United are as close to fifth as they are to 14th - but Opta’s supercomputer has attempted to work out where the Whites will actually finish in their second season back in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s Whites went into Sunday’s clash at a Sunderland side sat bottom knowing that a win would send them fifth and above Chelsea following a 2-0 loss for the Blues in Saturday’s clash at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

After a troubled start, the victory for Spurs sent them up to 14th place and Roberto De Zerbi’s side are now only two points behind Leeds in that position following a goalless draw for Daniel Farke’s side in their clash at Sunderland.

The middle section of the table is now incredibly congested - Leeds only two points ahead of 14th-placed Spurs but equally only two points adrift of Chelsea in fifth.

The Whites are also two points ahead of the 13th-placed Bournemouth side who they face next in Saturday’s clash on the south coast.

After eight games played, here is where the supercomputer from data experts Opta now has Leeds finishing come the end of the season itself.
