Both Clemson and Syracuse have important personnel questions to settle before Saturday’s noon kickoff on ESPN2. The ACC’s second injury report includes several starters, with the Tigers already certain to be without three key offensive players.
Running back Gideon Davidson, center Harris Sewell and left guard Elyjah Thurmon are out for the matchup. Dabo Swinney previously announced their absences, leaving Clemson to adjust its backfield rotation and replace two starters along the interior offensive line.
The Tigers also have two receivers whose availability remains uncertain. Junior Tyler Brown and freshman Gordon Sellars are both listed as questionable, potentially creating additional challenges for an already shorthanded offense.
Brown joined the report Wednesday and remains questionable after recording 33 catches for 305 yards this season, the third-highest reception total on the team. He has also rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Sellars has missed the past two weeks with a concussion. A setback during Monday’s practice complicated his potential return, and his designation has not changed.
Syracuse, meanwhile, continues to list starting quarterback Steve Angeli and starting defensive end Tunmise Adeleye as questionable. Both appeared under the same designation on the previous report.
Angeli has reportedly been a regular presence on the injury report after missing time earlier this season with soreness in the same Achilles he injured against Clemson last year.
Clemson’s confirmed absences and the unresolved statuses on both sides leave depth as an important consideration heading into Saturday’s meeting.
