PSG doubles up Manchester City; Aston Villa rolls; Antonio Rüdiger wins it late for Real Madrid in Wednesday's Champions League action

Reigning back-to-back Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain enjoyed themselves at the Etihad with a commanding 4-2 win over Manchester City.

With Pep Guardiola in attendance, Manchester City could not stop PSG from a dominating first half that saw Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha help the visitors build a 3-0 lead by halftime.

The goals from Doué and Dembélé came within a two-minute span as Gianluigi Donnarumma had no answers.

Erling Haaland did his best to revive Manchester City, scoring twice to give him 61 career Champions League goals in 60 appearances, but it wasn't enough to knock off the Ligue 1 side.

Kylian Mbappé moves into fifth all-time in UCL scoring during dramatic win

José Mourinho's return to Roma ended in dramatic fashion as the Real Madrid boss saw his team score three times in the final seven minutes to erase a 3-1 deficit for a 4-3 victory.

Marten de Roon put Roma up after 20 minutes, but the lead evaporated five minutes later when Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé answered in his 100th career Champions League appearance.

The goal moved Mbappé ahead of fellow Real Madrid legend Raúl on the all-time Champions League goal-scoring list with his 72nd in the competition.

Donyell Malen's seven-minute brace in the second half had the Serie A in control, but Real Madrid wasn't ready to roll over.

Carlos Espí scored in the 83rd minute, followed by Endrick in the 85th to level the match. Antonio Rüdiger would net the winner against his former club in the 90th minute to stun the Olimpico crowd.

Aston Villa cruises, Bradley Barcola's hat trick leads Liverpool

Johan Manzambi celebrated his 21st birthday by scoring on his Champions League debut and Nicolas Jackson and Ross Barkley each recorded a brace as Aston Villa stomped Fenerbahçe 6-0 to improve to 2-0-0.

Bradley Barcola recorded Liverpool's first Champions League hat trick since Luis Díaz in 2024 during a 6-3 win over LASK. The Reds built up a 4-0 lead early in the second half, a big enough cushion to hold off a late push by the Austrian side.

According to Opta, the match was just the 15th in the competition's history to see at least nine goals scored.

Fredrik Sjøvold's goal in the 52nd minute was enough for Bodø/Glimt to hold off Borussia Dortmund 1-0; Gjivai Zechiël, Anis Hadj Moussa and an own goal by Robert Sánchez helped Feyenoord upend Como 3-2 to earn the Dutch side its first Champions League win of the season; An Isco penalty in the 84th minute completed the Real Betis comeback as they topped Porto 3-2.

Shakhtar Donetsk, Stuttgart cruise to wins

Playing at London's Stamford Bridge due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk topped AEK Athens 3-1. Pedrinho, Vinicius Augusto and Gleiker Mendoza and provided the goal as the Ukrainian side picked up its first win in the competition this season.

Stuttgart got second-half goals from Deniz Undav and Ermedin Demirovic, plus an own goal, to take down Slovan Bratislava 3-0.
