Brooks Koepka endured a challenging return to the PGA Tour this year.

After leaving for LIV Golf in June 2022, Koepka returned to the PGA Tour in January of this year.

The 36-year-old, who has five major championships to his name, recorded just one top 10 finish on the PGA Tour in 2026.

And that simply isn’t good enough for a player of Brooks Koepka‘s calibre.

Which player do you expect to benefit most from leaving LIV Golf?

Several names have already announced they will not be involved with LIV 2.0

Koepka made contending at major championships look easy during his prime, but he hasn’t been the same player since joining LIV Golf in 2022, his 2023 PGA Championship win notwithstanding.

But does he truly believe that the glory days will ever return for him?

Brooks Koepka says whether he believes his best golf is yet to come

Koepka recently took part in an interview on Dan Rapaport’s YouTube channel.

And the nine-time PGA Tour winner was asked whether he believes his best golf still lies ahead of him.

“Yeah, yeah, for sure,“ the five-time major champion responded.

“I think I just lost my feel. That was it, because I was trying to be too mechanical, and a lot of it was with the putter.

“I think, statistically, for the majority of the year, the ball-striking was pretty good. Definitely put myself in positions to win or have a chance, but the putter let me down, and then I was just frustrated from that.

“I felt like I had to hit it to tap-in range from 200 yards. Otherwise, I’ve got no chance on my putt. You know, that’s not a cool feeling, and then, you kind of double down your short game. You know, I would be chipping it to 6 feet, and I still wasn’t making the 6-footer.

“So just felt like I was pressing a little too much, but that was kind of at the end of the season.

“But I’m getting it figured out, and I’m just going back to basic stuff and just making sure I’ve got a feel, right?

“It’s a whole lot easier when you just walk up, and I’m like, I have no idea how far that is right now, but I’m heading pretty much right on it. But that just goes to show you, like, there’s feel in that, and then you just relate that to putting.“

Hopefully Koepka will take a more natural approach to his 2027 season. He needs to rely more on feel rather than mechanics, and if he does just that, one or two more major championship wins may well be lying in wait for him.
