USC ranked No. 20 in first College Football Playoff rankings

The month of November is officially here. And with it, that means we have now entered the home stretch of the college football regular season.

On Tuesday, the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season were revealed. USC made the top 25 of the initial rankings, coming in at No. 20.

The Trojans are one of six Big Ten teams ranked by the selection committee. Joining them in the top 25 are No. 4 Indiana, No. 8 UCLA, No. 12 Ohio State, No. 19 Iowa, and No. 23 Oregon.

Interestingly, USC is eight spots behind Ohio State, despite the Trojans having the same number of losses (and one more win) and having beaten the Buckeyes head-to-head. With two more matchups against top ten opponents on the schedule, however, USC will have several opportunities to move up in the rankings over the next few weeks.
