Schalke 04 welcome Mainz 05 to the VELTINS-Arena on Saturday afternoon, with Miron Muslic's side hoping to bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Freiburg.

The newly promoted hosts have taken five points from their opening five Bundesliga matches, suffering a frustrating 2-1 defeat to league leaders Freiburg last Sunday despite having a numerical advantage for much of the second half.

Urs Fischer's Mainz sit ninth with seven points, after a dramatic 4-3 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen last time out, with Defensive issues having concerned Die Nullfünfer, who have conceded ten goals in their first five league matches.

However, Mainz have been excellent on the road, winning both away league matches this season, while Schalke haven't lost a competitive fixture at the Veltins Arena in over a year.

Here are the confirmed lineups from both sides for today's clash in Gelsenkirchen.
