Marvin Harrison Jr. made his debut with the Houston Texans. How did he do?
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. made his Houston Texans debut on Sunday in London. The Texans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-31 on a last-second 49-yard field goal Ka'imi Fairbairn after the Jaguars had tied the game with a 60-yard field goal.
A week after Harrison was traded from the Arizona Cardinals to the Texans, many fans likely are interested in his performance.
How did he di in his first game?
Harrison had a limited role in his debut, playing 12 snaps for the Texans. He lined up on the boundary nine times and in the slot three times.
In those 12 snaps, he was targeted four times. He had three catches for 34 yards. His first catch, a 14-yard reception, was his long. Here is the play:
Three catches for 34 yards is nothing to write home about, but it did come in only 12 snaps. By comparison, his best game this season with the Cardinals was in Week 2 when he caught three passes for 40 yards on five targets in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. However, he was on the field for 66 snaps.
Assuming his role increases in the weeks to come, it appears his usage will be more than it was for the Cardinals this season.
He had five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown in four games. He was inactive last week for the Cardinals. He was dealt to the Texans on Sunday with a sixth-round pick in 2027 in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick and 2027 seventh-round pick.
