"Nightmare debut" – Three All Blacks who FLOPPED against Wallabies

The All Blacks thrashed Australia 43-21 in Sydney, but not every New Zealand player had a day to remember.

The All Blacks scored seven tries as they claimed another convincing Bledisloe Cup victory. It came just seven days after their 50-19 win over the Wallabies.

Beauden Barrett and Josh Moorby scored two tries each, while Peter Lakai and Wallace Sititi also impressed.

However, not every All Blacks player had a day to remember.

One of the world's best finishers struggled to make an impact, while another suffered an injury on his return. A young star also endured a nightmare debut.

Here are three All Blacks who had afternoons to forget.

1. Will Jordan

It was a relatively quiet afternoon by Will Jordan's remarkable standards, as the winger failed to get on the scoresheet despite New Zealand running riot.

Jordan did provide a neat assist for Rieko Ioane and looked comfortable under the high ball, but he wasn't as prominent as several of his fellow backs.

With Barrett and Moorby both grabbing doubles, the 62-cap star was unusually absent from the list of try-scorers.

He was replaced by Chay Fihaki early in the second half, bringing his afternoon to a premature end.

It was far from a disastrous performance, but Jordan has set such high standards that fans have come to expect something special whenever he takes the field.

2. Shannon Frizell

Shannon Frizell's much-anticipated return to international rugby suffered another frustrating setback in Sydney.

The powerful back-rower was introduced from the bench but was later forced off injured, leaving the All Blacks short-handed during the closing stages.

It was a disappointing development for Frizell, who has been looking to re-establish himself in the New Zealand setup.

His return has generated plenty of excitement, but injuries have made it difficult for him to build momentum.

The immediate concern will be the extent of his latest problem and whether it threatens his involvement in the upcoming fixtures.

3. Chay Fihaki

It was a nightmare finish to Chay Fihaki's All Blacks debut.

The youngster was handed his first Test appearance after being called onto the bench following Jordie Barrett's withdrawal.

Replacing Will Jordan early in the second half, Fihaki initially showed plenty of promise with an impressive line break.

However, his dream debut took a turn for the worse when he was shown a yellow card in the 76th minute for a high tackle on Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii.

The incident left New Zealand further depleted in the closing stages and put a disappointing ending on a landmark occasion.

There were encouraging signs from Fihaki in attack, but the youngster will be desperate to make a better impression next time.
