Liverpool supporters are crossing their fingers that Dominik Szoboszlai will be back in the matchday squad for Sunday’s massive clash against Arsenal.

The Hungarian has missed the last three matches for the Reds after aggravating a hamstring injury during the win over Brentford last month.

But Andoni Iraola left the door open for Szoboszlai to return against the Gunners, and after being seen arriving at the Liverpool team hotel on Sunday morning, it seems that the 26-year-old will be back to face the champions.

Szoboszlai arrives at Liverpool’s team hotel

The first inkling that Szoboszlai had a problem after the international break was when he was not seen coming to Liverpool hotel ahead of the Reds match against Manchester City last month.

Though such sightings offer no guarantee either way of whether a player will or will not play, it is usually a good indicator, and that proved to be the case with Szoboszlai on that occasion.

This time, Liverpool fans will be hoping for the reverse to be true, with X user James Wathland videoing the Reds’ No. 8 getting out of a car to reportedly join the team at their pre-match hotel on Sunday morning.

In another potentially positive clue, Szoboszlai posted about the Arsenal game on his Instagram stories on Sunday.

The Hungary captain shared a matchday graphic, suggesting that he is set to be involved for the first time in two weeks.

It remains to be seen whether Szoboszlai will play any part or whether these clues are in fact misnomers, but the likelihood of him being involved in some capacity against Arsenal has surely now increased.
