CLEVELAND — The Cavaliers are bracing for another encounter with Akron native LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers, this time at Rocket Arena.
The Cavs opened their 2026-27 season on Oct. 22 by blowing a 29-point lead on the road and losing 114-106 to the Sixers.
Now the Cavs (4-4) hope to avoid falling below .500 in James' first game in Cleveland as a member of the 76ers (8-1). After spending the past eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, James announced on July 24 he would sign with the 76ers in free agency instead of his other primary suitors, the Cavs, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves.
