Manchester United academy graduate Harry Amass is expected to leave Old Trafford in January. The 19-year-old is considered one of United's best young players and had been widely tipped to break into the first team.
He made a cameo appearance of the bench in the Reds' 4-0 victory over Sabah, where he came on in the 71st minute shortly after Lisandro Martinez scored United's fourth. United manager Michael Carrick is currently enduring an injury crisis in the back-line.
Left-backs Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu are both missing through injury, as is left-footed central defender Martinez. Nevertheless, Carrick has opted to deploy right-backs Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui out of position on that flank instead.

United were believed to be willing to loan or sell Amass in the summer, but chose not to do so after they failed to sign a new left-back. Now it's understood by the Daily Mail he will most likely leave in the coming January transfer window.
Burnley were interested in signing him last summer but decided not to push forward with a deal. Despite the injuries, Amass' opportunities with the Reds have been few.
They also shrunk considerably when United exited the League Cup in the third round after losing 3-2 at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.

However, up to a dozen Championship clubs are believed to be interested in the youngster. He has been with United since 2023, when he arrived from Watford's academy system.
He enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday last season, where he made 21 appearances, contributing one goal and an assist.
While the growing expectation is that he will leave at the start of 2027, Carrick did appear to open the door to more first team opportunities for the teenager.

When asked if the recipient of the 2024-25 Jimmy Young Player of the Year award is in line for more opportunities, Carrick said: "For sure. I mean, that's why Harry's with us, you know.
"He's right in contention and, at some point, young players need an opportunity, and it's just finding the right time. Sometimes it's because there's an unfortunate thing happened to somebody else, sometimes it's just you're doing that well that we have to give you a chance.
"But all the young players are in a similar boat, in a similar level. There's maybe four, five, six of them that are trying to make that next step really in terms of getting into the team and trying to start games, and Harry's definitely one of them.”
