Darren Till Reacts To Jake Paul Choosing Different Opponent For Next Fight

Darren Till has given his reaction to the news that, after much talk, he hasn’t been chosen as the next opponent for American Jake Paul.

The former UFC fighter has been among four potential opponents that were reportedly being considered for Paul’s return to the ring. ‘The Problem Child’ has not fought since he had his jaw broken during his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua last December.

Till, who currently has a 4-0 record as a professional boxer and now competes under the BKFC banner, has missed out with two-time GLORY kickboxing welterweight champion Cedric Doumbe instead named as the man to be in the opposite corner.

The pair are set to meet in an officially sanctioned cruiserweight bout that is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds on December 24 at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena.

In a new post on X, Till, who is now based in Dubai, has reacted to the news that he will not be facing Paul next.

“Absolutely terrified 😂👍🏻🐀 @jakepaul @nakisa_bidarian 💩”

There has been no explanation yes as to why Paul and his promoter Nakisa Bidarian opted for Doumbe ahead of Till, but on paper he does represent a less demanding challenge.

He has limited experience in professional boxing and is naturally smaller than Till, and is also currently involved with the Professional Fighters League, which is owned by Paul’s outfit, Most Valuable Promotions.

Doumbe has a 6-1 MMA record, a 75-7-1 kickboxing record, and has just one professional boxing victory behind him back in 2015 when he took a points decision over fellow debutant Mohamed Fodil.
