Celtic have registered almost twice as many big chances as Rangers in the Premiership this season, according to FotMob’s latest figures.
The Hoops lead the division with 48 big chances, putting them comfortably ahead of Rangers on 26 and Hearts on 25.
That leaves Celtic just three short of their two rivals’ combined total.

There is a similar picture when it comes to testing opposition goalkeepers.
Celtic average 9.2 shots on target per league match, with Rangers their closest challengers on 6.6. Dundee United sit third on 5.6.
That means Celtic are averaging almost three more efforts on target every game than the nearest team in that category, offering another measure of their attacking threat.
The scoring figures also put the Hoops out in front.
FotMob lists Celtic on 23 league goals, averaging 2.6 per match. Hearts follow with 20 goals and an average of 2.2, while Rangers have scored 13.
However, there remains considerable room for improvement in front of goal.
Celtic also top the table for big chances missed, with 33. Rangers have missed 19, while Motherwell are next on 17.
The Hoops’ expected goals total stands at 26.2, ahead of Rangers on 19.6 and Hearts on 17.8. Expected goals measures the quality of shooting opportunities, rather than simply counting attempts.
The encouraging reading is that Celtic are consistently getting into positions from which they should score.
The frustration is how many of those openings have gone unfinished.
These figures give Martin O’Neill a clear platform to build on. Celtic are setting the attacking pace domestically, with scope to make that superiority count even more.
Sunday could be when it all clicked for Celtic – with a big run domestically and in Europe up next for the Hoops.
