A talented €90 million star currently at Manchester City is wanted by FC Barcelona as they seek to elevate the squad.

Barcelona’s sporting director Deco and club president Joan Laporta are keeping close tabs on high-profile developments across Europe to identify marquee opportunities that can elevate the team’s tactical ceiling.

With potential regulatory shifts and squad restructurings hovering over the English champions, the Blaugrana board has quietly put everything in motion to strike if a transfer window opens.

The player at the center of Barcelona’s ambitious transfer agenda is 23-year-old Manchester City attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki, as reported by Fichajes.

Valued in the region of €90 million following an explosive rise to prominence in England, the French international has firmly established himself as one of the most creative technicians in world football.

Barcelona have formally activated “Operation Cherki,” positioning themselves at the very front of the queue should Manchester City be forced to consider player departures or balance their squad dynamics in upcoming windows.

For manager Hansi Flick, securing a playmaker of Cherki’s extraordinary dribbling capability, vision, and two-footed versatility would offer an invaluable dimension in the final third.

The former Lyon prodigy possesses the exact press-resistant qualities needed to unlock low-block defenses in La Liga and thrive in Flick’s dynamic transition system.

Barcelona’s leadership views his potential acquisition as a transformative move capable of securing their creative core for the next decade alongside the club’s existing young core.

While executing a deal valued near €90 million presents significant financial hurdles for Barcelona, the club remains vigilant regarding Manchester City’s broader institutional outlook.

Deco is maintaining direct communication with intermediaries to ensure that if a transfer pathway materializes, Spotify Camp Nou will be the Frenchman’s preferred destination.

As the transfer saga gains momentum across European headlines, Barcelona stands ready to convert their strategic interest into a historic blockbuster move.
