The consensus surrounding the Indianapolis Colts is that they are going to have a fire sale of their roster. Running back Jonathan Taylor has been linked as a potential trade candidate for the Minnesota Vikings, which would greatly bolster this offense. However, one writer for CBS Sports believes that another player on offense for the Colts might be a better fit.
Garrett Podell of CBS Sports believes that guard Quenton Nelson would be a great fit for the Vikings, as mentioned in his piece highlighting which contenders should be in the market for him:
They could be interested if they want to upgrade their offense and move off of undrafted free agent Joe Huber at left guard, with Donovan Jackson out for the season with a torn meniscus. Minnesota will have a phenomenal opportunity to scout Nelson in Week 7 when he and the Colts come to town to play the Vikings.
Nelson, a former first-round pick, is in a contract year, meaning the Colts don't have much leverage, but the acquiring team will likely need to extend him after trading for him. Given that Nelson has been one of the best guards in the NFL since being drafted back in 2018, the draft pick might be high, and the extension could be lucrative.
