Blackburn Rovers player ratings against West Bromich Albion

Didn't have as many saves to make as midweek but did well with what came his way. Couldn't do anything for any of the goals.

RYAN ALEBIOSU - 6

Got forward a few times, particularly first half, without really having much impact in the final third.

TOM ATCHESON - 6

Had his hands full with Stewart and Heggbo. Some crucial interventions to prevent West Brom scoring.

SEAN MCLOUGHLIN - 6

Another hard to judge performance. Very good for the most part, including some excellent blocks and tackles. Then a needless challenge where he slid and gave away the penalty. It's unclear how much contact there was but it was rash and clumsy.

HARRY PICKERING - 7

Some good set-piece deliveries, which helped for the second goal an early Gudjohnsen header.

SAM MORSY - 7

Used all his experience to slow the game down the right moments. Perhaps could've been quicker to the loose ball for Stewart's goal but a good performanece.

KRISTI MONTGOMERY - 8

Excellent again. Full of energy which saw him win the ball back high up for the opener. Terrific display.

RYOYA MORISHITA - 6

Forced off after a heavy tackle from Campbell. Looked to be his ankle, which forced him to hobble off.

TODD CANTWELL - 7

Pressed from the front and put his foot on the ball in a frantic game. Could've scored but didn't make contact with Alebiosu's knockdown.

DAPO AFOLAYAN - 6

Didn't see a lot of the ball and was relatively quiet. Made an enemy of the WBA fans despite doing very little wrong.

ANDRI GUDJOHNSEN - 7

Two fantastic goals. The first was a real beauty, the second a poacher's effort. Will be disappointed with his part in WBA's first goal.

SUBSTITUTES:

JAYDEN FEVRIER (MORISHITA, 27') - 6

Posed a threat on the break but end product was lacking. Blazed one over and shot well off target with his right foot.

JAKE GARRETT (MORSY, 60') - 6

Was brought on for fresh legs but didn't really get into the game.

MOUSSA BARADJI (CANTWELL, 60') - 5

Wasted a few good counter-attacking opportunities.

MATHIAS JORGENSEN (AFOLAYAN, 60') - 6

Played off the left and then moved up front. No real chances at goal as they were under the cosh.

HAYDEN CARTER (GUDJOHNSEN, 73') - 6

On to try and preserve the lead in a formation switch.

UNUSED SUBSTITUTES: PEARS, BEYUKU, DE NEVE, KARGBO.
