Hornets update status of Coby White and Kon Knueppel amid injuries

The Charlotte Hornets have updated their injury report ahead of Wednesday's season opener against the Brooklyn Nets. Unfortunately for fans, the trio of Coby White, Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams have all been listed as out for the matchup. All three have returned to on-court activities but have yet to finish rehabbing their respective injuries. White is dealing with a calf strain, while Knueppel and Williams are sidelined with hamstring strains.

These absences will loom large for Charlotte as they look to win their season opener. White will be missed on offense due to his playmaking ability, while Knueppel's shooting and his ability to space the floor will be tough to play without. In their absence, expect a heavy dose of Brandon Miller and Grayson Allen. Dennis Schroder and Christian Anderson Jr. may be asked to play more minutes as well. During the preseason, the Hornets fell to the Nets 124-90.
