Howe hat-trick as Cardiff and Carmarthen win
Tom Howe in action for Cardiff in the United Rugby Championship

There were wins for Cardiff and Carmarthen in Super Rygbi Cymru in the only two games that survived in a glut of largely weather-related postponements.

Highly-rated teenage hooker Tom Howe scored a hat-trick as hosts Cardiff beat Bridgend 31-0 at Cardiff Arms Park.

Craig Hudd and Ethan Coombes also touched down while fly-half Lloyd Lucas converted three of Cardiff's tries.

Carmarthen Quins won their basement battle at Aberavon 21-3, where Steffan Jones' opening penalty provided the Wizards' only score.

Lewis Morgan hit back with Quins' first try, to which they added a penalty try after the break. Carmarthen crossed for a third time before Madoc Evans sent over a second conversion.
