The BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru has cleared right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna to play all formats following comprehensive simulation tests conducted on November 1 and 2. The medical team at the facility completed a full return to match assessment, confirming the seamer's readiness to resume competitive cricket. Krishna is now expected to fly to New Zealand shortly to join the India A squad for their upcoming fixtures.

Krishna had sustained a hamstring injury during India's second ODI against West Indies in Guwahati on September 30. He was initially included in the squad for the first three ODIs of the five-match series against New Zealand, pending fitness clearance. The BCCI removed him from the ODI squad on October 30, determining that he required additional workload building before being considered for the longer format.

When will Prasidh Krishna join India A?

The Centre of Excellence medical team has confirmed that Krishna will join the India A squad for the third and final four-day game against New Zealand A, subject to him clearing the Return to Play (RTP) assessment. This will give him an opportunity to gain match practice and prepare for the Test series. The match is scheduled to start on November 7.

The BCCI said the bowler “will join the India A squad for the third and final four-day game against New Zealand A, subject to him clearing the Return to Play (RTP) assessment. This will give him an opportunity to gain match practice and prepare for the Test series." It has now emerged that Prasidh has completed the fitness formalities successfully and is ready to fly to New Zealand.

Krishna will not feature in the five-match ODI series, which begins on November 4. His focus now shifts to building match fitness through the India A fixture before the two-match Test series against New Zealand, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle. The clearance marked a significant step in his recovery from the injury that ruled him out of the ODI leg of the tour.
