FIFA could end up scrapping the controversial 'FIFA Peace Prize', just 12 months after Donald Trump was handed the inaugural award by Gianni Infantino.

In the buildup to the 2026 World Cup held across North America this past summer, Trump and Infantino were as thick as thieves together, making multiple appearances alongside eachother in a show of unity ahead of the festival of soccer. The 2026 World Cup will also be infamously known for Trump's lobbying of Infantino to get USMNT forward Folarin Balogun's red card in the Round of 32 clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina overturned, allowing him to play against Belgium.

Prior to the tournament, Infantino gifted Trump the inaugural 'FIFA Peace Prize'. However, that honor now could be scrapped.
