Sergio Conceicao has regularly voiced his frustrations with his time at AC Milan, today, he has done so once again.
It is fair to say that the feeling is mutual between Milan and Conceicao. His opening few games in the Supercoppa Italiana made it seem like the Rossoneri were into something good, but it quickly fell apart.
The Portuguese’s abrasive handling of the media also helped no one, and by the end of his tenure, everyone wanted a new start. Of course, the frustrations about his time at the club haven’t stopped since, though.
In the 18 months since his departure, he’s given several interviews about his displeasure with the situation and whilst some criticisms are fair, sometimes it’s best to let bygones be bygones…
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Conceicao made his feelings known once again, especially towards Gerry Cardinale, as MilanNews relays.
“When I was there, Cardinale never came to Milanello. He texted me to congratulate me after the Super Cup, but I didn’t reply because I didn’t even have his number and only read it later.
“I know Amorim, on the other hand, well: we’ve played through some tough matches in Portugal, me as Porto coach and him as Sporting. I wish him well in Milan.”
At least he ended it on a high, wishing well to Ruben Amorim.
