Emmanuel Emegha is out with yet another injury – his Chelsea debut won’t be until November at the earliest, it seems.

The focus in today’s press conference was on Reece James, who it was announced today has had minor knee surgery which will keep him out for three months.
It’s a familiar story with James – and the internet right now is full of people bemoaning his injury prone-ness and the wasted years of his career on the treatment table. But that slightly distracted from other frustrating news – another problem for Emmanuel Emegha.
The rangy striker agreed a deal to join Chelsea from Strasbourg a year ago, but soon after suffered a series of injuries which limited him to just a handful of appearances all year.
This season, he’s not played a minute. Having appeared on the bench once in August, he’s missed every other squad entirely with a hamstring issue. The international break looked like it would be the chance for him to recover – but instead he’s had another problem.
“He’s not yet [fit]. He felt something yesterday, a little thing,” Xabi Alonso reported today.
“He’s going to be training next week. He’s still no 100% fit to be playing in the game. When he is fit, he is very special. He’s 195m, he’s quick, attacks the space.”
Reece James has had surgery on a knee injury, and will now miss around three months of the season.
Sky Sports are reporting that a move for Alex Scott in January is actually possible from Bournemouth’s end. With this James news, it looks more likely than ever.
