Running back Kyren Williams and the Los Angeles Rams continue to struggle after losing 18-16 to the Arizona Cardinals at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 18.
Williams was asked about the team's 2-4 start to the season in the locker room after the loss. He used the opportunity to voice his frustrations with his opportunities on the field.
"Self-inflicted wounds," Williams said about the team's offensive struggles. "Not starting fast and not having that energy every single drive."
Williams led the Rams' rushing attack, finishing with 50 yards on 10 carries. His longest run of the day resulted in a 14-yard gain. Backup running back Blake Corum finished with 42 yards on nine carries.
When asked about the Rams' lack of energy on offense, Williams had a blunt response.
"I can't tell you probably because I'm not out there,” Williams said.
Both Williams and Corum were involved in the receiving game, as well. Williams finished with three receptions for 17 yards on six targets. Corum caught two passes on two targets from quarterback Matthew Stafford and finished with 18 receiving yards.
