Finishing this road race inside Nuneaton’s Pringles Stadium on the track, Stephanie was second woman with an impressive time of 36 minutes and 6 seconds.
For those who seek an extra challenge in their road races, there is Tempo Events’ Ilmington 10K Winter Series, with the first of this five-event series being held this weekend.
Taking-on the undulating course it was Dougal Hamilton-Smith who led the Bourton trio home in a time of 41 minutes and 14 seconds, finishing 3rd in the Senior Men category and 7th overall. Also regulars at this tough event were Tim Hemming (46:53) and Dougal’s father Craig Colwyn (49:31), both providing strong performances.
Further afield, Claire Carroll took part in the Ragnar Trail Texas Hill Country series, in Texas, USA, opting for the five-mile solo event as part of her final tapering in preparation for next week’s New York City Marathon. Nothing says Texas adventure like prickly pear, cacti, rolling hills, and a sky full of stars. Claire was certainly up for the challenge, finishing first overall in a time of 56 minutes and 17 seconds.
