Joe Burrow’s latest road performance put him in select company while edging the Cincinnati Bengals closer to a franchise record.
According to Stats Perform, Burrow’s four touchdown passes in the Week 5 win at Miami matched his career high for a road game. It was his sixth road outing with at least four passing touchdowns.
Since Burrow came into the NFL in 2020, only Aaron Rodgers has more such performances, with seven.
The Bengals also hit a notable team milestone.
Their four touchdown passes against the Dolphins brought their season total to nine through three road games, matching the franchise’s best mark at that stage.
Cincinnati’s record through four road games is 12, established in 2021. That leaves the Bengals needing three touchdown passes to match the mark or four to surpass it in Sunday’s visit to Baltimore.
As for Burrow, one more four-touchdown performance would also bring him level with Rodgers’ total over the span covered by Stats Perform’s figures.
Individual milestones will take a back seat to the result against an AFC North opponent. But the numbers point to how productive Burrow and Cincinnati’s passing offense have been away from home.
