Arsenal have “asked for information” on the fee required to buy RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, according to reports in the Italian media.
TMW claim that the Bundesliga side have set an asking price of €70m (£58.5m), which is significantly above the €55m (£46m) that the Gunners are willing to pay.
It is not an insurmountable gap, but it appears that negotiations between the two teams have not gone beyond the initial stages.
Strengthening the left wing is said to be a priority for manager Mikel Arteta, and sporting director Andrea Berta is seemingly making enquiries already ahead of January.
The 21-year-old caught the eye whilst playing for Norway at the World Cup, and he has carried that form into the 2026/27 season.
Nusa has found the back of the net 4 times and provided 6 assists in only 12 appearances for Leipzig, which means he has already surpassed the 9 goal contributions (5 goals and 4 assists) he managed during the entire 2025/26 campaign.
He is generally deployed on the left flank, cutting in onto his stronger left foot, making him the perfect profile to provide competition for the likes of Christos Tzolis and Eberechi Eze.
Brentford’s Kevin Schade and Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi have both been mentioned as possible options ahead of the January transfer window.
Schade AND Kroupi would be more expensive to sign, although the fact that they already have a fair amount of Premier League experience gives them an advantage.
Kroupi also has the added benefit of being a very capable centre-forward, but the Frenchman would be the most expensive of the three targets. His club, Bournemouth, are reluctant sellers, and it has been reported that a fee in excess of €100m (£83.5m) would be needed for them to even consider offloading him in the New Year.
