Manchester United have handed the winger his debut, giving him his first chance to impress supporters whilst playing for the club.

Despite the summer transfer window ending at the start of September, some deals were completed after the deadline.

Those include free transfers, alongside deals involving youth players.

Given the late completion of the transfers, debuts for particular players have been delayed with some Manchester United players, signed during the summer, still not handed their chance.

Issac Konde had been amongst those, having signed for United from Liverpool at the end of September.

Konde’s arrival at the club came shortly after the arrivals of David Eze and Karim Cassim to the club, too, as Manchester United aimed to improve the quality of their academy sides.

Eze has already made his debut, with Konde handed his debut for the side today.

It came for Manchester United’s Under-18s side against Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-18s with him coming off the bench, as reported on United’s official website.

Konde will now be looking to build on his first appearance for the club and work his way into regular contention within United’s Under-18s team.

Having already made the switch to the Red Devils from Liverpool, the winger will be particularly keen to show his qualities and show why the club moved to secure his signature.

His first appearance from the bench offers an initial opportunity to settle into his new surroundings properly, whilst future appearances are likely to be imperative to his development.

United’s continued investment in academy talent through Eze, Cassim, and Konde are a clearly sign of the side’s high ambitions.

It is now down to Issac Konde to reward Manchester United for the confidence they have placed in him, and to establish a reputation within the Under-18s squad as a true talent.
