New York Jets RB Braelon Allen completed carried 21 times for a career-high 147 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 versus the Las Vegas Raiders. He also caught both targets for six yards.

Why It Matters: Allen is certainly taking advantage of his opportunity with Breece Hall sitting for a fifth straight game. Allen posted a career high in yards, topping 100 yards for the third time in five starts while scoring his third rushing touchdown. He has run for 504 yards in his five starts and is averaging 5.4 yards per carry over that stretch. It is anyone's guess if this will be Allen's backfield moving forward - either due to a Hall trade or the coaching staff opting to ride the "hot hand" - but it will be interesting to see how it plays out if/when Hall is ready to play. Keep Allen on the RB2 line for Week 9 against a good Kansas City run defense, assuming Hall's status does not change between now and then.
