Marcus Rashford, Lisandro Martinez, Ayden Heaven, Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw were all absent from Manchester United's training at Carrington on Tuesday morning.
Michael Carrick oversaw United's final training session to prepare to face Como in the Champions League, but Mainoo, who was unavailable against Atletico Madrid and Leeds due to a minor injury, was nowhere to be seen.
Shaw was missing from training again. The defender played the full game as United drew 1-1 with Tottenham a fortnight ago but picked up an issue and has been ruled out of action since.
The 31-year-old has been sidelined for a second time this season due to the issue, after previously missing three games against Sabah, Manchester City and Brighton before returning to face Fulham on September 20.
Martinez was substituted at half-time during United's 1-1 draw with Leeds last weekend due to a knock. He was missing from training, while Heaven was absent due to illness, which ruled him out of the Elland Road trip.
Rashford has been suffering from a hip issue. United have managed the injury, but he did not take part in training on Tuesday.
United sources have confirmed a decision will be made on each of the aforementioned players' involvement against Como. Some could still make the travelling squad to Italy after a late check today, but it appears unlikely, which would mean Carrick's defensive options could be depleted.

Leny Yoro was another absentee on Tuesday morning, but he received a red card against Atletico, meaning he is suspended for the Como game. Yoro is set to complete full training, while the main group took part in a light session ahead of their flight to Italy.
Benjamin Sesko and Patrick Dorgu remain sidelined with their respective issues, however. Sesko is suffering from a shin issue, and Carrick has confirmed he is uncertain how long he will be sidelined for.
Dorgu pulled out of September international duty with Denmark after picking up a suspected hamstring injury against Wales.
United go into their third Champions League game against Como after beating Sabah and losing against Atletico in the competition. The Italian side are a rising force in Serie A, sitting in fifth with former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas in charge.
Como opened their Champions League campaign with a comfortable 4-1 win over RB Leipzig at home, but they suffered a 3-2 away defeat to Feyenoord last week.
