The Chicago Bears seek their third victory in a row in primetime TV when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on "Sunday Night Football."
Chicago beat the New England Patriots 30-24 on a Thursday night on Oct. 22. Then beat the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 34-17 on "Monday Night Football" on Nov. 2.
The Bears have won three straight since quarterback Caleb Williams returned from a hamstring injury, scoring at least 30 points in each game without ever trailing.
Chicago is 6-2 for the first time since 2012.
Tampa Bay (3-5) defeated Atlanta 16-0 last week without completing a single pass — not one pass —by rushing for a franchise-record 324 yards.
The game took place in a pouring rain lasting from kickoff until the game's end on a puddle-filled field at the Bucs' Raymond James Stadium.
No NFL team had won a game without completing a pass since the Buffalo Bills in 1974.
The "Sunday Night Football" game between the Bucs and the Bears can be seen at 6:20 p.m. MT/ 7:20 p.m. CT on Sunday, Nov. 8, on NBC, and is also available streaming on Peacock.
NBC Sports commentator Mike Tirico will miss this weeks' broadcast of "Sunday Night Football" on NBC.
NBC Sports said that Noah Eagle will call the Sunday night game with Cris Collingsworth and Melissa Stark. Eagle called NBC's college football broadcast of the Notre Dame game against Miami on Saturday night, Nov. 7.
"Unfortunately, I will have to miss tonight's game in Chicago due to a health issue," Tirico said in a statement released by NBC Sports PR.
"I look forward to watching tonight and can't wait to be back with Cris, Melissa and the rest of our SNF team next Sunday night in Cincinnati."
The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Pittsburgh Steelers on "Sunday Night Football" next week on Nov. 15.
