Ickworth Park Primary Football Club players kick off season in style after new sponsorship from Bury St Edmunds provider Prepped Academy

Young players on a school’s football team are kicking off the season in style after a sponsorship from a Bury St Edmunds education provider.

Ickworth Park Primary Football Club’s year four ‘sharks’ team will wear shirts displaying the name and logo of Prepped Academy.

Jackets for the coaching team were also covered by the sponsorship.

Tom Hayhoe, club chairman and head coach for year four, said the team was incredibly grateful to Prepped Academy for its generous support.

He said: “At this age, the children seem to grow out of their kits almost as quickly as we can replace them, so having a brand-new home kit means a great deal to the team.

“Prepped is a particularly fitting sponsor for us. Beyond the obvious connection to education, we share the same ethos of enjoyment and success.

“We want every child to feel encouraged, grow in confidence and take pride in what they achieve.”

The football club is associated with Ickworth Park Primary School in Horringer and plays at Risby Green.

Players on the sharks team are aged eight to nine, with many having played together since early primary school.

Prepped Academy provides private tuition to small groups to complement their education.
