Atrás
Had no answer to Weaver’s well-aimed finishes. The keeper otherwise was sound enough with his catching and punching and used his booming kick to good effect at times.
KENTON RICHARDSON – 7
Did not make the cleanest start in his defensive duties but grew into things with some good, aggressive contributions as Carlisle worked their way back.
MORGAN FEENEY – 7
Captain was not at his best in the opening stages but Feeney was more reassured as the game went on, did some important work to help fend off a willing Altrincham and almost got another goal himself.
BRAD NICHOLSON – 6
Was at fault for Weaver’s opening goal but atoned with good ball for Obiero’s strike. Nicholson did well to overcome that early slip and was steadier thereafter.
LEO DURU – 6
Not at his most sparkling but once again emptied the tank for the cause. Altrincham caused him a few defensive problems but he drove United forward well at times too.
JOSH WILLIAMS – 7
On the left again, Williams was one of United’s better players in their dry opening spell, and continued putting hosts on back foot when Blues raised their game.
CALLUM CAMPS – 8
Stamped his class on the game with a terrific goal to make it 2-1 after a polished showing in midfield, and has already shown plenty of his higher-level quality in just two Blues appearances.
TEDDY JENKS – 6
Midfielder was industrious and some of his battling helped Carlisle get a late foothold in first half, after earlier fruitless toil. Replaced with a knock at the break.
CALLUM WHELAN – 7
Continued his good run of form with a very well-taken goal to bring Carlisle level. Whelan’s movement was bright as he and the Blues emerged from stodgy first-half spell.
DAVID AJIBOYE – 6
Quiet in opening stages but played a good hand in their well-timed equaliser before the break, and kept going in a bid to further test hosts.
REGAN LINNEY – 6
But for an inspired Isted, would have added to his tally. Linney grew in danger without scoring but led Carlisle’s attack with appetite amid the frustrations.
Subs: Stephen Wearne – Bright contribution to improved second half. 7
Jonah Lowes – Fairytale goalscoring moment for youngster. 7
Elliot Embleton – Welcome return and decent cameo. 7
Ryan Galvin – His drive on break set up Lowes. 7
Micah Obiero – Superbly-taken goal got Blues back on top. 7
Star man – Callum Camps. The new signing made a stunning mark with a brilliant volley, and already looks a high-grade acquisition in United’s midfield.
