En route to capturing the AEW Women's World Championship at All In, Mercedes Mone sustained a broken nose. Seven weeks later, "The CEO" has confirmed that is still the case, though at this time, she isn't letting it prevent her from competing in the ring.

On the WrestleDream post-show media scrum, Mone provided an update on her nose injury, which arose in the midst of her AEW Women's Championship match against Willow Nightingale at All In in London's Wembley Stadium.

"It was definitely one of the hardest fought battles I've ever had and one of my greatest matches and greatest moments in my whole career," Mone said. "I love that moment at All In in Wembley. Just a full circle moment for me as well. But yeah, I'm one month-and-a-half post surgery on my nose. It's still very much broken. I'm pushing through every single week, but I love what I do. I love defending my women's championship. I'm here to be the best. So just having a broken nose, it's not going to faze me. It's not going to stop me. It's not going to stop me from defending this. This is my destiny. So I'm ready to give everything that I have for it."

Due to her injury, Mone was not medically cleared to compete at AEW All Out. Nightingale and Thekla collided in a number one contender's match instead, with the latter emerging victorious and securing herself a future title opportunity against Mone.

While sporting a protective face mask, Mone returned to action at WrestleDream on October 17. She went on to defeat "The Toxic Spider" after blasting her with the face mask, then dropping her with the Mone Maker.
