The Tennessee Titans had the day off on Tuesday, but the coaches and front office didn't stop, working out multiple players ahead of the week's first practice.

Unlike previous workouts, the five players, Matt Haack, Dominique Hampton, Chris Paul, Khalen Saunders, and Chris Smith came from a variety of positions on both sides of the ball and special teams. Two of those players should be familiar to Titans fans: Hampton and Saunders both participated in training camp, with Saunders cut at the deadline as a surprise.

The most notable workout of the week is Haack, since neither Robert Saleh nor the organization has updated on punter Tommy Townsend, who injured his knee in the first half against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7. Haack has bounced around the NFL since entering the league as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 2017. Since then, he has punted 478 times (179 inside the 20) and averaged 45 yards with 10 NFL franchises.

Paul is an interesting prospect who was on the Titans’ radar heading into the 2025 NFL Draft before the Los Angeles Rams selected him in the fifth round. After the Seahawks cut him at the deadline, they picked him up, and he spent the season on their practice squad.

Smith has bounced between the practice squad and active roster with the Detroit Lions since he entered the league as an undrafted rookie after the 2023 NFL Draft. The defensive tackle has seen action in five games and made two tackles.

The Titans didn't sign any players, but they could still make a move before taking the field for their first Week 8 practice as they prepare for the Cincinnati Bengals.
