The Baltimore Ravens are in a world of pain. Literally. Not only did Lamar Jackson suffer a potentially season-ending thumb injury in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley also left the game hurt and third-stringer Joe Fagnano suffered an ankle injury.
That leaves the recently signed Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis as the only healthy QBs on the roster. Not exactly where a 4-4 team wants to be with the playoffs still very much in reach. Fagnano, Reed and Slovis don't have a single career passing touchdown between them.
With Jackson on injured reserve and Huntley ruled out for at least Thursday's game with a toe issue, it might behoove the Ravens to seek a veteran signal-caller on the trade block. The following five players could be the best options.
Brissett wasn't just benched for Gardner Minshew II in Arizona, he was demoted to third string behind Carson Beck. That should mean Arizona is willing to take whatever Baltimore can offer for him. The Ravens could do a lot worse than a 11-year vet who has completed 62 percent of his career passes with a 2-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
The quarterback job in Vegas belongs to Fernando Mendoza, with Kirk Cousins only serving as a seat warmer in the meantime. That leaves O'Connell expendable as one of the more experienced third-stringers in the NFL, with 17 career starts, including a respectable 7-10 record.
Daniel Jones might've been in consideration if his 2027 cap hit wasn't so high, but Richardson isn't a bad fallback option as a former first-rounder who deserves another shot at leading an offense. His ability to run could give the Ravens a familiar skillset at the position, though he'd have to prove he could be a more efficient passer.
Who's ready for the Zach Wilson 2.0 experience? Because it's coming sooner or later. Baltimore might be the perfect spot for the former No. 2 overall pick to show what he's learned since last starting a game in 2023. The Saints don't have much use for him behind Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler.
Sanders is easily the least experienced player on this list. Potentially the worst too, though we haven't seen him play enough to know. But he has that undeserved Pro Bowl already in common with Huntley, so he'll fit right in. Plus, his stock may never be higher as he sits behind Deshaun Watson. So why not dump him on Baltimore for whatever you can get? After sending Joe Flacco to the Bengals a couple years ago, we know the Browns aren't shy about helping division rivals in need of a quarterback.
