The Portuguese winger expressed his delight at his long-awaited return to action, admitting he had been eagerly anticipating the moment and was thrilled to have more minutes on the pitch.

Jota said: "It felt amazing. I was expecting this moment for a long time now, and I think it was a great day as well for everyone.

"We delivered, and I was really happy with it as well."

He described each game as a "new story" and was grateful to have played in a match where the team was already comfortable.

Jota expressed his determination to fully recover and regain the sensations that come with regular play. He said: "It's good to hear. It's good that people can see that as well. I feel very good as well. I feel fresh.

"Obviously, there's a process to it, but I'm just thrilled to be playing minutes after minutes and just get all of the sensations back again."

The Celtic fans showed their support for Jota during his warm-up, and he responded by insisting he still has much more to achieve with the fans. He said: "Yeah, since day one, I think a story was built and I'm not done here.

"I still want to achieve a lot of stuff with them, and I just can't wait to get back to the level and just deliver every game."
