The fixture was supposed to begin on Saturday but due to Storm Boelo all three days of the meeting were put back by 24 hours.
Monday’s jump fixture took place in wet conditions and with further rain forecast overnight, Lorcan Wyer of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board wants to check in the morning.
He said: “Following an unsettled day today which resulted in 2mm of rain and with the possibility of approximately another 6-8mm of rain overnight tonight, we will have a precautionary inspection at Galway on Tuesday morning.
“Our Flat line is our innermost line and we will have eight yards of fresh ground on the back straight and down the hill, which will then taper into seven yards of fresh ground in the home straight.
“The ground remains heavy and is currently fit for racing but due to the prospect of more rain tonight we will have an 8am inspection to assess the situation at that point.”
Officials at Nottingham will inspect at 8am on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s meeting which is due to feature the Listed Robin Hood Stakes.
The going is currently soft, heavy in places with further rain forecast overnight and into the morning.
Monday’s meeting at Wexford was abandoned.
