Paudie Clifford has revealed that Fossa are close to finalising a new manager after Jerome Stack’s shock resignation last week.
The All-Star forward was promoting AIB’s launch of the club championships - where Clifford’s Fossa will compete for the Munster Intermediate crown.
But they will do so without a manager - after Stack’s departure.
Clifford said: “The club are working away in the background. We have a good few weeks before the Munster semi-final. We're just leaving that to the lads and they'll come to whatever decision and I think they’ll I think they'll have something in place for next Tuesday. We're just training hard ourselves this week so It'll be resolved.”
Clifford admits he was surprised by Stack’s decision.
He said: “We found out over the weekend. We just trained away this week and made sure we kept up our sharpness and fitness.
“I am not really sure what happened. I think, as I said, I'll have to wait for the club to come to their decision over the next few days. I know there's things going on in the background, so we'll just let them at that.”
