Having entered their bye week sitting at 6-2 overall (4-2 SEC), every game going forward is essentially considered a must-win for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and it's not hard to see why.
A team with College Football Playoff (CFP) aspirations, Alabama enters November with two losses on their resume, having fallen to both Georgia and Tennessee in previous weeks. As a result, the Crimson Tide cannot afford to drop a third game in the regular season, as it could potentially be detrimental to their CFP chances.
Looking ahead, Alabama will enter the homestretch of their regular season schedule coming out of the bye, starting with a challenging road matchup in Week 10. That will be the first-of-four games remaining on Alabama's regular season schedule, with two others also set to come against SEC foes.
Here are those four games remaining on Alabama's regular season schedule, as well as an early prediction for each.
Alabama's upcoming Week 10 road game at LSU is undoubtedly their toughest remaining regular season contest on paper, one that could essentially serve as a potential CFP elimination game for both teams. Recently opening as the underdog in Baton Rouge, Alabama will be faced with a challenging test against LSU and head coach Lane Kiffin, as the Tigers have an offense that ranks top 10 nationally in scoring, led by the SEC's leading passer Sam Leavitt.
Alabama is set to travel to Nashville on Nov. 14 for the first time since the Crimson Tide were stunned by Vanderbilt in Kalen DeBoer's first season. The Commodores have struggled this season with an offense and defense that both rank in the 100's nationally, and it's simply hard to see Alabama falling in Nashville this season, even despite their struggles there in 2024.
Alabama's final nonconference regular season game comes at home in Week 12 against Chattanooga. The Crimson Tide will likely win big over the Mocs, a FCS team, at home.
Alabama's regular season schedule will come to a close in Tuscaloosa with a Week 13 showdown against Auburn in the latest edition of the Iron Bowl. The Tigers' first under head coach Alex Golesh, this will be a tough matchup, as always, and while Auburn did recently upset Georgia in Athens, they have been inconsistent this season, making it tough to pick against an Alabama team that was won the last seven Iron Bowl's played in Tuscaloosa.
