LeBron James Calls 76ers' Home Debut 'Everything I Dreamed Of' After Comeback Win

The Philadelphia 76ers came back from down 29 points to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-106 on Thursday night.

LeBron James finished with 17 points in his home debut with the Sixers, with the margin also representing the largest comeback win of his career.

James described his debut as “everything that I dreamed of and more.”

Tyrese Maxey lead the Sixers with 32 points, with Joel Embiid adding 24 points and seven rebounds.

Jaylen Brown pitched in with 21 points and eight rebounds.

“That’s kind of a wild way to win a game,” Sixers coach Nick Nurse said. “I think we’re just scratching the surface.”

The Sixers trailed 69-45 at halftime. They took their first lead with 6:54 left in the fourth quarter, and went on a 15-0 run.

Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson described the loss as "depressing."

“The result of this game was pretty depressing,” Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson said. “We had total control of the front-line size early on and built the game exactly how we wanted. But when they flipped the switch defensively in the second half, our execution completely stalled out."

The Sixers are now 2-0 on the season.
