Milan returned to action still riding the emotional wave of their derby triumph, but that domestic euphoria failed to translate to the European stage. While signs of recovery have emerged in Serie A, the Rossoneri continue to falter on the continent. Ferencvarosi claimed a 2-0 victory at San Siro, handing Amorim's side their third defeat in their last four matches. It was another damaging setback that further complicates their standings and leaves them with virtually no margin for error.

Milan: Fielding a heavily rotated lineup, the hosts looked as though they had yet to shake off their post-derby hangover. Shorn of several key figures, Milan lacked conviction and struggled to generate either rhythm or attacking fluency. Amorim sought to change the complexion of the contest by introducing Gila, Moreira, Pulisic, Modric, and Camarda, but not even a raft of substitutions could reverse their fortunes. The Rossoneri remain stranded on three points from four games: the situation is turning increasingly precarious, and further slip-ups are simply out of the question.

Ferencvarosi : The Hungarian outfit approached the contest with immense character, immediately putting the Rossoneri backline under pressure through Lenny Joseph, who was denied on multiple occasions by Torriani. The forward eventually broke the deadlock early in the second half, capitalizing on a dreadful mix-up between De Winter and his goalkeeper to pounce and tap into an empty net. Shortly after, he sealed his brace after being played through by Zachariassen to round off a clinical counter-attack. A red card for Yusuf, shown for an off-the-ball strike to Gila's face, failed to alter the game's momentum. Ferencvarosi held firm, kept their composure, and came away with a massive victory.
