AtrásRangers attacker Djeidi Gassama could seal his permanent Ibrox exit at the end of the season.
Gassama joined Rangers for a £2.2m fee in the summer from EFL Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday.
Since his move, he has made 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
According to the Rangers Review, despite joining the Gers in the summer, Gassama was subject to transfer interest in January.
It has been claimed that AS Monaco were hot on the heels of the French attacker and wanted to bring him to his home country before the 2 February deadline.
They put their money where their mouth was as they lodged an offer to sign him on loan with a £10m option to buy.
Club Brugge and Villarreal were also showing an interest at the same time as the 22-year-old underwent a blip in form.
However, Rangers decided at the start of the window that any player regularly contributing either from the starting eleven or the bench would not be allowed to leave in the transfer window.
The Light Blues are aware of the interest shown in the former France Under-20s international, but believe that they would get offers north of £10m in the summer, especially if he is part of the side that wins the Scottish Premiership title.
Gassama has been a regular for the Ibrox outfit, but his output has been underwhelming.
If there is an option to make around five times what they paid for him a year ago, Rangers will surely look to take it.
In 27 league appearances, Gassama has scored just two goals, which is not what the Gers would have expected from him when they signed him.
For comparison, Andreas Skov Olsen moved to Ibrox in January, and in four appearances already has a goal and an assist to his name.
That is the kind of output that Danny Rohl and the hierarchy will be expecting from their attacking players, so there is a good chance that they will capitalise on any interest shown in Gassama.
