After a strong start to the season, Leeds United have hit a sticky patch in recent weeks after going five Premier League matches without a win.

Leeds have drawn three of those games, with their two defeats coming against the reigning champions Arsenal, and in-form Bournemouth last time out.

Still, the Yorkshire outfit lie in 12th position in the table and while manager Daniel Farke will have ambitions of breaking into the top half and potentially pushing for a European spot this term, it isn't the worst position to be in at this stage of the campaign.

The Whites' record of eight goals conceded in nine matches is strong when you consider that only Arsenal and Brighton have let in fewer goals than they have, with Liverpool and Manchester City among the teams to have conceded more.

More of a pressing concern though is their attacking output, with a current hit rate of one goal per game.

If Leeds and Farke are serious about progressing, that number needs to increase significantly across the rest of the campaign.

A Data Table Depicting Leeds' Top Scorers (PL 2026-27) Including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jayden Bogle, James Justin,

There is certainly an overreliance on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has scored a third of those and is drawing Man Utd interest amid talk of a new Leeds United contract, while right wing-back Jayden Bogle is second in the rankings with two to his name.

It's no surprise then, that TEAMtalk claim that the 49ers are considering a new attacking addition as soon as the January transfer window, with summer signing Harry Wilson struggling to get going in a white shirt so far.

The report claims that Leeds hold an interest in Gabriel Sara of Galatasaray, who played in England previously with Norwich City, and Coventry City attacking midfielder Jack Rudoni, but they have another notable target in Lyon's Pavel Sulc.

According to the outlet, Leeds also have an admiration for Czechia international Sulc, although he has recently suffered an injury that will keep him on the sidelines until March.

It means that any move for the 25-year-old would have to wait until the summer rather than January, but you can see why the Yorkshire club are looking into a deal to sign the attacking midfielder.

Leeds have a long-term interest in Sulc, and they were heavily linked with a move to bring him to Elland Road in the summer, just 12 months after he joined the Ligue 1 outfit from Viktoria Plzen.

True or False: 2025/26 EPL True or False

There are always going to be question marks over whether a player can replicate what he did in a smaller league when he joins a top European league, with Sulc scoring 47 and assisting 31 in 167 outings for the Czech outfit.

However, the attacking midfielder made an immediate impact at Lyon and he will be frustrated that he has now been ruled out for months after a positive first year or so at the club.

Leeds have had some great players over the years, with Raphinha being the standout player in recent years.

The Brazilian always showed he had something special, and his career has now gone to new heights given he is one of Barcelona's best players, and is a genuine contender for the Ballon d'Or.

Leeds look like they are in desperate need of a fresh spark in the final third and, given Sulc's attacking output for Lyon, he can be the man to provide it.

It's unclear how much the Czechia international would cost, but the Ligue 1 outfit would surely want a major profit on the €10m they paid in 2025.

If Sulc moved to Elland Road and replicated the numbers he has been producing for the French team, then he would be their most exciting signing since Raphinha.
