Rangers News has learned that a staff member who’s been at Ibrox for the last three years has parted ways with the club.
Dr Jillian Harley joined Rangers in January 2023 to be the club’s Sports Psychologist Consultant. Prior to that, she worked at Southampton and Airdrieonians in Psychologist roles as well.
However, Dr Harley has now taken up a position at the English Football Association, where she will be working with the Men’s pathway.

Who is Rangers' best-ever goalkeeper?
Playing for Rangers or any club with a huge fanbase means performing under the constant spotlight of not just the supporters, but also the media. Having a robust psychology team helps players to manage pressure and block out the external noise.
Athletes at the top level frequently face dips in form, confidence issues and the psychological weight of gruelling fixture schedules. Having a professional to provide mental toolsets makes it easier for the players to manage it all.
Psychologists also play an important role in helping players rehabilitate from long-term injuries. Such long absences can lead to isolation and anxiety if not handled properly.
Rangers have been a club that have put a lot of emphasis on mental well-being, and that is undoubtedly the right thing to do.
